Marine Engine Components

Parts that endure the harshest conditions inside a marine diesel engine. From the camshaft that controls intake and exhaust to the bolts that hold the engine together, we make them ourselves.

Marine Engine Components

Wherever an engine runs,S&W is there.

A marine diesel engine runs for tens of thousands of hours without rest. The parts inside must withstand high temperature, high pressure and repeated loads while holding fine dimensional precision.

S&W has localized imported core engine components one by one. With our own forging, heat treatment, precision machining and inspection equipment we manage quality across every process, and we meet the classification society inspections our customers require.

Engines served

  • MAN Energy Solutions (now Everllence)
  • MTU
  • 2-Stroke (large bore)
  • 4-Stroke (medium speed)

    Cam & Camshaft

    Cam · Camshaft

An ultra-precision core component that controls fuel injection and intake/exhaust timing for each cylinder. The geometric accuracy and surface hardness of the cam profile decide engine performance. It is S&W's flagship product, and every process — forging, profile machining, induction hardening and grinding — is carried out in-house.

    • Fuel cams and exhaust cams for large two-stroke engines
    • Camshafts for medium-speed four-stroke engines
    • In-house numerical analysis of cam profiles and CNC machining programs
    • Induction hardening technology for cam profiles

    Valve Spindle & Seat Ring

    Valve Spindle · Seat Ring

Parts that admit air into the cylinder and release exhaust gas. Because they reciprocate rapidly under high temperature and pressure, they call for heat-resistant materials and surface treatment, welding technology that hardens the contact surfaces, and upset forging to form the head.

    • Forging of super heat-resistant alloy (Nimonic 80A) and friction welding
    • PTA welding, chrome plating and nitriding
    • Utility models for marine and naval exhaust valve structures

    Engine Bolt & Nut

    Engine Bolts · Nuts

High-strength bolts used to assemble and fasten the main parts of the engine. Drawing on more than half a century of bolt manufacturing, we secure the tension and hardness required inside a hot, high-pressure engine. We also make the holding down bolts that fix the engine to the hull and the stay bolts (tie rods) that hold the engine itself together.

    • 2-Stroke: cylinder cover studs, main bearing studs, conrod studs, stay bolts
    • Holding down bolts, coupling bolts and nuts, bottom pieces
    • 4-Stroke: assembly bolts and nuts
    • KR quality assurance system approval (studs · tie rods · bolts); inspections by all major classification societies

    Piston Pin · Other Parts

We make the piston pin that connects the piston to the connecting rod and transmits power, and supply precision-machined parts such as prechambers for high-speed engines.
